Rose Hip

Drawing from a cutting taken from a plant behind Sainsbury’s in Lancaster , I would like to know what type of rose it is the hip is very interesting. Done in coloured pencils.

Long weekend spent at Higham hall with artist Susan Christopher Coulston drawing flowers in coloured pencils. Very relaxing pleasurable weekend.

We walked on the old mine track a short way then sat on our stools to draw. This is mixed media ink watercolour graphite charcoal and pastels on archers watercolour paper.

Wasp nest study

This was fun to do and fascinating the part with the cells had it’s back to the hole and upper pods to the inside. It is made of chewed wood and feels like paper.
