Work in progress

I hope I have captured the likeness of this little dog

I think once you have painted the eyes the picture comes to life. I still have his partner to do.

Started on his little friend They are Malteese terrors
I think I have finished but like my other paintings I will live with it and see if I feel more needs doing.

blowing in the wind

I went to the park today, not just for a walk but to take the opportunity as it was a fair weather day to put up the art that I have been making and watch the reactions of the people watching the art.

Latest commission

Today I finally stopped procrastinating and started. This one is slightly different for me as none of the three photos have the dogs at the same size and they now are.

Now waiting to see if this is what they want before I continue
I have been given the okay to continue, so today I’ve done a bit more now I have to wait for it to dry before I can do any more.

More frottage and folding today

The trouble with folding a long strip of paper is it gets difficult to handle

I’ve finally worked out the folding so the strip curls round when hung
Because I’ve chosen such a long strip of paper it becomes difficult to handle the further along you get.
This is the shape I was looking for
The next question is do I decorate both sides and when that has been answered do I make it longer. Had I been in uni the answer to the second question would have been easy because I would have had more space to hang my installation.
Next sheet printed and folded

Images for one of my books

Okay I gave gone back to my book today I’m I’m reasonably happy with this book.

arning don’t look if you are easily offended. When I was a nurse I remember a lecture I attended about what causes offences, we were told that whilst a substance is ‘attached’ and therefore part of your body we as humans find it acceptable to eat like scabs bogies and blood but once separated we find the thought disgusting. I thought I would take it one step further and apply it to masks, as an explanation as to why there are so many on the pavements and roads.

Man in isolation ii

Following on from last semester I’ve looked at all the masks we have found on the walk to the corner shop, the number is shocking I think at this rate they will replace the fallen leaves especially if we continue to destroy nature at the rate we are doing.

Some of the masks and things collected
Also collected some leaves for colour

Then tried combining the two images using an ipad
