Photopolymer plate made made with a photo manipulated in procreate and made up from frottage and photographs.

As before I am inspired by mans effect on the planet, this time thinking about colonisation and land enclosure. Using wood from an old fence I frottaged images then laser cut them into wood to use for relief printing. Below are some of my practice prints, starting with free screen print in colour then a relief print over. The paper is newspaper.

Just started a new painting, basic drawing to give me an idea of where to paint. Olly is a venerable labrador with a face full of character so I am looking forward to this developing.

Having fun learning new skills and techniques with pastels pure and simple with Graham Oliver as our tutor

I’ve decided it is finished, today I’ve taken pictures to be framed, let’s hope they know what they are doing, pastels have to be kept clear of the glass and the frame has to be sealed to reduce water damage.. fingers crossed.

The flowers are corn flower, Marigold and Corncockle. Brilliant names.
Going back to my roots with this piece of art. Coured pencil botanical flowers. This is a Cana lily, as you can see I still have a lot more to do.

Waves
When a special friend comments they can see a wave in your work it can have an influence n what you do next. I hope to change these digital sketches to Lino prints in the near future.

The seal on our kitchen window has broken and patterns are forming between the panes I’ve drawn a picture using some of them and cut them into lino. I’m relatively new to lino printing so doing 3 layers was interesting. I do like the final images though and it has excited me, so expect more.

Mask tree reminds me of a prayer tree. Here masks have replaced leaves.

I think once you have painted the eyes the picture comes to life. I still have his partner to do.
