Keeping with the Anthropocene I’ve decided to think a out where it all began, I mean when mans actions started to make a difference to their surroundings. When man fenced land to grow a single crop, when they fenced land and claimed it as their resource. When land became property. When their not being a fence present gave man the right to claim it as his (colonisation).

I’m working with screen printing an image that I’ve made using a combination of digital photography and frottage manipulated on an ipad.

I am making print sandwiches using 4 layer separation and putting 2 prints on the back of the paper and 2 on the front, it is only when the paper is hung that you see the full picture. This is the Cyan layer , I like to mix it up, if I wanted photos I would just have printed some . I want the image to appear rather than be in your face!

I’ve decided to make wooden supports to hang my prints from, I can’t afford the oak my tutor wants me to use so I’ve got pine.

Ive burnt the wood with a blow torch then brushed it with a stiff brush. My back is complaining big time, funny I thought it would have been my shoulders!

First layer of my final piece, we have had problems with the screen because it is an old one, so two attempts to get the image on the screen . I am happy with the final image.
