Materials

I really want to highlight the amount of pollution that surrounds us every day. It has become so normal that people walk past it without seeing it every day. There also seems to be a culture of I didn’t drop it so why should I pick it up?

I started by writing a book or two using photos of rubbish taken by me on a short walk. This lead on to me asking my husband to pick up rubbish on his walk to work, poor man!, which I attached to net curtains covered with various words for rubbish.

I also made small installations with rubbish trying to highlight out of place

    Hi Val,
I was very interested in reading your blog about rubbish and how you have then incorporated this into your art work. I had no clue that you could use rubbish as an art form very clever:0)
